Why do we spend so little time understanding boys’ and men’s relational needs and capacity?
Kim Evensen is the founder of Brothers (est. 2017), a global nonprofit strengthening male friendships and boys’ and men’s relational health.
Men are overrepresented in several serious well-being statistics — including social isolation, suicide, and addiction. Kim challenges the idea that this is simply “men being men." He examines the hidden dynamics shaping boys' and men’s friendships and lives — and how those patterns affect mental health, belonging, decision-making, and performance.
Kim has delivered 150+ keynotes across four continents, including a TEDx talk in Oslo (2023). His work has been featured in CNN (April 2025) and The New York Times (January 2026), in addition to major Norwegian new outlets.
He is the author of two books, The Real Bro Code and Brothers, sold in over 20 countries.
His keynotes
Kim’s work celebrates masculinity — not by asking men to become something else, but by taking men’s relational health seriously.
Through research, lived experience, and clear argumentation, he demonstrates how greater awareness of men’s relational health creates positive change in:
- School and campus environments
- Workplace and team culture
- Leadership and organizations
- Friendships, families, and marriages
His talks are often described as eye-opening — because once you see the relational patterns shaping boys and men - and how it affects all of us, you can’t unsee them.
With clarity and presence, he addresses the elephants in the room, surfacing the tensions and blind spots surrounding masculinity that many hesitate to name. By speaking openly about both growth and shortcomings — as a man and as a leader — he makes complex themes tangible, human, and practical.
He speaks English and Norwegian.
For schools, universities, and organizations seeking stronger culture, clearer communication, and greater relational resilience, Kim offers a perspective few others address.
As the founder of Brothers, built from the ground up, he brings nearly a decade of leadership experience — navigating growth, visibility, and complex conversations while sustaining vision in a challenging space.
